Unitas Communications has successfully managed its third annual ‘Concordia Forum’ leaders retreat. The Forum is dedicated to strengthening a cross global network of leaders.

The Concordia Forum this year bought together leaders from corporate, political, media, academic and non-profit backgrounds in the USA, UK, across Europe. Delegates included UK and European Parliamentarians, senior White House representatives, US state Department officials, senior professional’s major Fortune 100 corporations, media commentators and civil society activists from the USA, Europe and the Middle East.

CEO of Unitas Communications, Muddassar Ahmed said “The Concordia Forum is a unique independent, self-financing platform that enables Forum delegates to build trust and foster strategic thinking. It has grown from strength to over the previous three years and has this year played developed a vibrant network of politicians, business people, civil society activists and media professionals”.

One of the foundation’s flagship programme’s is the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship. This year based at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School, the AdR Fellowship is the world’s only programme to create a Muslim - Jewish social entrepreneurship network designed to build bridges between the two communities.

Unitas’ remit will focus on targeted networking and relationship & event management.

Unitas’ extensive pre and post launch remit includes managing the D’GAF launch event, an online social media campaign,  press positioning, stakeholder management with prospective local partner organisations and securing international performing artists and speakers.

The Unitas Executive team engaged with a number of civil society organisations, academic bodies, online social activists and community representatives for the purpose of promoting democracy and political innovation in Tunisian politics.

Cat has previously worked in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit, developing domestic policy and strategic capability, including a strategic audit of the UK and for the UN Deputy Secretary General’s office on the UN reform process and with the World Bank in Geneva.

US Government Programmes administered from London include the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP), the Fulbright Teachers Exchange Programme, the British American Parliamentary Exchange Programme and the Voluntary Visitor Programme. These programmes are funded by the US Department of State and intended to build mutual understanding and idea-sharing between citizens of the US and other countries.

The Society’s official launch will take place at the US Embassy in London, during the first week of March, 2011, with a welcome reception to follow at Winfield House, the official residence of the US Ambassador to the UK.

British Programme alumni include previous Prime Ministers Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher along with many leading British political, corporate and media figures.

Unitas CEO and Chair of the John Adams Society, Muddassar Ahmed said, “We are pleased and honoured to host the Secretariat of the John Adams Society and to facilitate continued relations between British IVLP alumni and the USA.”

The discussion will take place under the auspices of the IBIS (Integration - Building Inclusive Societies), a joint initiative between the UN Alliance of Civilisations and the International Organisation for Migration, on December 20th at the St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace in London.

Unitas’ remit involves helping to establish platforms for online communication in order to promote the discussion to the widest possible audience.

Located in rural Spain, The Concordia Forum this year bought together senior and emerging leaders from corporate, political, media, academic and non-profit backgrounds. Delegates included the US State Department Special Representative to Muslim Communities – Farah Pandith, a UK Member of Parliament as well as senior members of Ernst and Young, Afren PLC, the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations and the UK civil service.
